Someone on the outside sent a letter to certain federal legislators, regarding interference with Oscar Stilley’s mail in the prison. The specific interference referenced was not taking place, to my knowledge. However, this prison does intentionally interfere with the delivery of newspapers and various mail items. I took this opportunity to let Warden Outlaw know that he has a problem, of his own making, and that he should correct it.

There is a bit of what one might at the least characterize as plain speaking. Prior writings have included much flowery prose about how he can make this facility a showcase of correctional excellence while saving much taxpayer money, and make a good reputation for himself at the same time. Warden Outlaw has made it perfectly clear that neither correctional excellence nor frugality on behalf of the taxpayers is any part of his agenda. Read more here…
